27 June 2013 Last updated at 13:07 BST

Beth Chatto, who has developed a garden in Essex that is world-renowned, has spoken to the BBC as she turns 90.

In 1960, her garden near Colchester was little more than a wasteland. She went on to win 10 consecutive gold medals in the Chelsea Flower Show.

She told BBC Look East's Richard Daniel that she hoped the garden had helped people cope with their problems.
