Teens charged after dog thrown from car on A12 in Essex

Two teenagers have been charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a dog that was thrown from a car in Essex.

The Springer spaniel was seen coming out of a car window on the A12 at Great Braxted but was relatively unscathed, police said. She was then reunited with her owner in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

A 16-year-old boy from Wickford and a man, 18, from Pitsea, were arrested soon after the incident in February.

The pair are due before Chelmsford magistrates next month.

They are also accused of theft.
