M25 closed at Lakeside after fatal pile-up

A fatal eight vehicle pile-up has led to the closure of the M25 clockwise at Lakeside.
Essex fire service said three HGVs and five other vehicles were involved in the crash at junction 30 at 12:30 BST.
Three people were trapped and had to be cut out of their vehicles. Essex police said one person died at the scene and two others were airlifted to hospital.
Police expect junction 30 southbound to remain closed throughout the rush hour as traffic is diverted off the M25.
Paramedics are treating a number of other people for less serious injuries.
The Royal London Hospital is treating the two airlifted patients, who are described by Essex police as being in a serious condition.
