Suffolk man's ear bitten off in Essex attack

A 20-year-old man from Suffolk had part of his ear bitten off during an attack at a taxi rank in Essex.

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday in Colchester's High Street.

The man was taken to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, where his ear lobe, found near the attack, was sewn back.

An 18-year-old man from Kelvedon was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.
