Man released after Harwich road crash death arrest

A driver arrested in connection with a fatal road crash in Harwich has been released without charge.

Charles Reader, 28, of Rebow Road, Harwich, died after he was hit by a car on Main Road in the town on 1 December.

A 22-year-old man from Hornchurch, east London, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Essex Police said he had been released from bail and would face no action.

An inquest will be held in due course, a police spokesman added.
