Quad bike death rider Adam Mander 'not wearing helmet'

A quad bike rider who died after crashing into a wall was not wearing a helmet at the time, an inquest heard.

Adam Mander, 29, died at Colchester General Hospital, after the accident in Boxted, near Colchester, last July.

A verdict of accidental death was recorded by the Essex Coroner Caroline Beasley Murray at the inquest in Chelmsford.

The hearing was told Mr Mander, of Langham, might have been drinking before the accident.

He was riding down the single lane Wick Road in Boxted with his tyres deflated, the inquest heard.

Mr Mander had just gone over a bridge when he collided with a wall and suffered a serious head injury.
