Three people bailed after arrests over Benfleet stabbing

Three people arrested after a fight and a double stabbing in Essex which caused the closure of a section of the A13 have been released on bail.

Two men from east London were hurt in what police described as a series of assaults in Benfleet on Thursday.

They were both discharged from hospital after treatment.

A 37-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy, all from Benfleet, have been released on bail until 31 January 2013.

Police asked anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
