Barclays Bank security guard punched in cash robbery
A security guard was punched in the face and a cash box containing tens of thousands of pounds was stolen outside a bank in Essex.
Police said two men assaulted the 62-year-old guard and stole the box from him outside Barclays Bank in Kingsway, Dovercourt, shortly before 12:00 GMT.
They then drove off in a stolen Ford Focus, which was later found in Lawford, police said.
Officers are still hunting the men, believed to be in their 20s or 30s.
They are described as being of slim build and were wearing dark clothing.
The police helicopter was deployed to assist in the search for them, a police spokesman added.
