Two arrested after man dies at Ongar farm

Two men have been arrested after a man died from a head injury at a farm in Essex and another was injured.

Police were called to the farm off Mill Lane, in Ongar, at 21:30 BST on Friday.

Paramedics attended but the man, in his 30s and from the local area, died at the scene. A second man, in his 50s, sustained head injuries and was said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Two local men, aged 33 and 66, were arrested in connection with the death.

Essex Police arrested the 33-year-old on Friday and the other man was arrested early on Saturday.

They are being questioned at separate police stations.

The injured man, who is being treated at a nearby hospital, is from east London.

A police spokesman confirmed the death of the man at the farm was being treated as suspicious.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out later.
