Pregnant woman killing in Harlow: Murder accused remanded

A man charged with murdering a 20-year-old pregnant woman in Essex and killing her unborn daughter has been remanded in custody by magistrates.

Eystna Blunnie was found with multiple head and facial injuries in Howard Way, Harlow, at 03:00 BST on Wednesday.

She was due to give birth to a baby girl in days but both died in hospital.

Tony McLernon, 23, of North Grove, Harlow, charged with murder and child destruction, is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 3 July.
