Prosecution ruled out over dog attack on Essex girl
The family of a five-year-old girl attacked by a dog in Essex say they are furious that no-one is to be prosecuted.
Abbie Varrow, from Great Notley, had to undergo surgery after an Alsatian attacked her as she played with a friend.
But the Crown Prosecution Service has ruled that no further action is to be taken against the dog's owner.
