Clacton stabbing: more time to quiz 10 suspects
Police have been given more time to question ten people over the stabbing of a man outside an Essex off-licence.
Liam Mearns, 21, was found bleeding in Wellesley Road, Clacton, at 22:00 GMT on Tuesday. He died shortly afterwards.
Nine people arrested on suspicion of murder and a man held on suspicion of violent disorder have appeared at court in Harwich.
Magistrates granted officers a further 36 hours to question the ten suspects who are all from Clacton.
Police said a post-mortem examination showed that Mr Mearns, also from Clacton, died from a stab wound to the chest.
