Five historic Harwich homes destroyed in fire

A row of centuries-old terraced houses in the historic heart of Harwich in Essex has been destroyed in a fire.

At its height about 50 firefighters fought the blaze. The houses were empty at the time but 24 people had to be led to safety from buildings close by.
