Dale Farm eviction 'stupid' says Lord Avebury
Liberal Democrat peer Lord Avebury has criticised the decision to evict dozens of families living illegally at the Dale Farm site in Essex.
His remarks come on the day that the travellers facing eviction from the site took their fight to Downing Street where they handed in a 1,000-signature petition.
Around 100 families occupying pitches without planning permission have been given notice to leave.
