Two men robbed a woman in a wheelchair of her jewellery in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police said the crime happened at about 19:00 GMT in Hawkwood Road, Boscombe, on Thursday.

The men approached their victim, a disabled woman in her 50s, as she was getting into her car in a car park at the rear of Sainsbury's.

They stole her handbag and demanded she hand over her watch and two rings before running off towards Heathcote Road. The woman was not injured.

One of the suspects is white, in his early 30s, and was wearing a navy blue woollen beanie hat, dark coloured bomber-style jacket and white trainers.

He spoke with an accent, possibly Eastern European. He also had cuts and scratches on his right hand.

Det Sgt Andy Haworth, from Bournemouth CID, said it was "a despicable crime on a vulnerable lone woman".
