Poole council urged to evict travellers at Creekmoor site

13 August 2014 Last updated at 20:49 BST

Borough of Poole Council is being urged to take action to evict travellers who have gathered in the Creekmoor area of the town.

Earlier in the year two temporary sites for travellers were rejected by councillors and there are currently no authorised temporary sites in the area.

Travellers began to arrive at the park-and-ride site in Creekmoor on Friday.

Councillor Judy Butt said residents felt they were being "punished".

The council said it was "monitoring the situation" and there were no plans to make it a permanent traveller site.
