Poole Splashdown water park evacuated in chemical spill

Hundreds of people have been evacuated from a leisure complex in Poole following a chemical spill.

Tower Park's water park Splashdown had a broken chlorine pump and police were called at around 14:20 GMT.

One person was treated for minor injuries and swimmers were given foil blankets after being evacuated.

Dorset Police said the incident was causing a "gridlock" and advised people to stay away until the evening.

Witness Natalie Denton called the situation "chaos".
