Linda Lietaviete death: Alvin Santos denies stab murder

A man has denied murdering a teenage girl who was found with multiple stab wounds to the chest.

Linda Lietaviete, 16, who was originally from Latvia, was found by paramedics near a Bournemouth flyover at Horseshoe Common, in December.

Alvin Santos, 25, from Bournemouth, denied murder when he appeared at Winchester Crown Court earlier. He is due to stand trial on 27 May.

Linda had been studying business administration at college.

In a statement following her death, Bournemouth and Poole College said she was "very popular" and a "joy to teach".
