Tesco Express Bournemouth closed over falling masonry fear

Tesco Express Westbourne Lumps of masonry have reportedly been falling from the former church's roof

A convenience store was closed temporarily because of a risk of falling masonry from its roof.

The Tesco Express store in Poole Road, Westbourne, Bournemouth closed just before 09:00 GMT following reports of falling concrete.

Dorset Police said officers cordoned off the area surrounding the store, in a former Methodist church.

Tesco said the building had been assessed and reopened to the public.
