A31 crash near Winterborne Zelston: Two people dead

A man and a woman died when the car they were in collided with two lorries in Dorset.

The Seat Ibiza was travelling westbound on the A31 near Winterborne Zelston when the crash happened shortly after 17:00 GMT on Monday.

Police said the car struck two heavy goods vehicles travelling in the opposite direction.

Husband and wife, Jose, 74, and Catherine Patricia Irisarri, 72, from Bothenhampton, died at the scene.

The A31 was shut for several hours for police investigation work.
