Pizza delivery driver hit by own car in Poole

A pizza delivery driver was injured when he tried to stop thieves who had taken his vehicle.

He had left the keys in the ignition of the red three-wheeled car while making a delivery to a house in Springfield Road at 20:30 GMT on Saturday.

A Dorset Police spokesman said the driver then saw two male youths wearing hooded tops get into it.

When he tried to stop them driving off, he was hit by the vehicle. He was taken to Poole Hospital with minor injuries.

Police appealed for anyone who have seen the car - registration plate J417 GAB - to contact them.
