Armed police in Dorset arrest man after attack

Armed police descended on a house in Dorset and arrested a man after another man was attacked.

The victim suffered a head injury after being assaulted with a weapon, believed to be a bladed article.

Officers were called to the house in Aylesbury Road, Boscombe, just before 17:00 BST on Saturday.

A man was arrested at the scene and is being questioned. The victim is in hospital, although his condition is not known.

Dorset Police is expected to release more details later.
