Wimborne school bus crash: Car driver and pupils hurt

A car driver has been seriously injured and a number of schoolchildren hurt in a crash in Dorset.

The car and a school bus collided in Horton at about 08:00 BST. The female car driver was taken to hospital in Poole in a critical condition.

Twenty-six pupils from Queen Elizabeth's School in Wimborne suffered injuries ranging from cuts and bruises to a suspected spinal injury.

Nine pupils and the bus driver were taken to hospital.

The vehicle, owned by Sea View Coaches, was carrying 45 pupils, aged 14-18, from the Alderholt area.
