Diver injured in Kimmeridge boat accident slipway

A diver had to be airlifted to hospital after a boat that was being pulled from the sea fell from its trailer with people still onboard.

The man suffered chest injuries when the dive boat toppled over while being towed from the slipway at Kimmeridge Bay, Dorset, on Sunday.

An ambulance was called and the injured diver was assessed by paramedics before being transferred to the air ambulance.

Kimmeridge-based coastguards helped to recover the overturned boat.
