A driver accused of killing a teenager in a suspected hit and run has been charged with a tenth offence.

Moped rider Jade Clark, 16, from Ringwood, Hampshire, died in a crash on the A31 in Dorset on 24 February.

Brian Hampton, 58, is accused of causing death by careless driving and failing to stop and failing to report an accident.

He appeared via videolink earlier where a new charge of perverting the course of justice was put before the court.

He also faces three charges of driving while disqualified and three of driving without insurance.

Mr Hampton, of Shadoxhurst near Ashford, Kent, was remanded in custody to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on 29 April.
