Bournemouth building site tower crane men rescued

Two men had to be rescued after getting stuck at the top of a tower crane in freezing conditions.

Police were called to a building site close to The Lansdowne in Bournemouth shortly after 18:30 GMT on Monday.

Following negotiations involving specialist rescue teams from the fire and ambulance service, the men were safely brought to the ground.

Neither sustained any injuries after spending around three hours at the top of the 10-storey crane.
