A fisherman who took "insufficient clothing" on a sea trip has been airlifted to hospital with hypothermia.

Portland Coastguard received a call from an angling charter boat off Bridport, Dorset, at about 10:45 GMT.

The man was flown to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester. The coastguard said he was "not dressed for the cold".

A spokesman added: "His body temperature was low and he was in and out of consciousness." He is expected to make a full recovery.
