Showjumper Ella Pallister's funeral held

A funeral for a teenage showjumper from Dorset who died after falling from her horse last month has been held.

Ella Pallister, 17, fell while competing at an equestrian even in Kingston Maurward on 27 January. She died in hospital three days later.

Mourners attending the service were asked by her family not to wear formal clothing but come "dressed as Ella would have known you".

The service was held at St Peter's Church, Portesham.

Ella, a pupil at Thomas Hardye school in Dorchester was part of a school equestrian team.

She was riding her horse in the warm-up arena at the British Showjumping affiliated show when she fell.
