Two men left unconscious after taking what police said was a controlled drug on a night out have made a "full recovery".

The pair, aged 28 and 41, were taken by ambulance from Ashley Cross in Poole to Poole General Hospital on Saturday after apparently taking Thai Valium.

A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug was bailed until April.

Police have appealed to the public to hand Thai Valium tablets in.

The drug is believed to come in blue capsules and blister packs of 10.

A Dorset Police spokesman said: "The two men who fell unconscious after taking the drug, a 28-year-old man and 41-year-old have made a full recovery in Poole General Hospital.

"Dorset Police are reiterating that any members of the public who purchased a similar drug do not to take them, and to keep them safe from others.

"They should be safely deposited at a police station, a hospital or medical facility, or a drug clinic."
