Passenger dies as car hits tree in Lytchett Matravers

A 19-year-old man died when the car he was a passenger in crashed into a tree in Dorset.

Police said the silver Renault Clio left the road and hit a tree in Huntick Road near Huntick Farm Caravan Park just before 22:00 GMT on Friday.

The man from the Poole area was pronounced dead at the scene. The condition of the 20-year-old driver of the car, also from Poole, is unknown.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to contact them.
