Flood warnings for Dorset after heavy rain

The Environment Agency has issued six flood warnings for areas of Dorset.

The warnings are in place for the Lower Frome between East Stoke and Wareham, the River Wey and South Winterbourne Valley.

An agency spokesperson said: "Groundwater levels are rising, we hope people remain vigilant."

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for rain and has forecast ice for Saturday, with motorists being warned to expect disruption.

The adverse weather conditions have also cancelled Condor Ferry sailings between Jersey and Poole and Guernsey and Poole.
