Coastguard airlifts man overboard to hospital in Dorset

A man was airlifted to hospital after falling overboard from a fishing vessel off the Dorset coastline.

The Portland helicopter was scrambled when the 31-year-old fell into the sea from the vessel Channel Warrior after it was hit by a wave near West Bay.

He was airlifted to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester following the incident shortly after 11.00 GMT on Wednesday.

The man was cold and shocked but unhurt and was later discharged.
