'Hair-in-hand' killer Danilo Restivo in appeal
A killer who mutilated a Dorset mother before leaving someone else's hair in her hand has appealed against the length of his sentence.
Danilo Restivo, 39, was convicted in June last year for the murder of Heather Barnett at her flat in Charminster, Bournemouth, in 2002.
He was also later convicted of murdering a 17-year-old Italian girl.
Restivo and four other men are appealing against their life sentences.
Their appeals, at the Court of Appeal, are being seen by some legal observers as a test of the whole-of-life term.
