Police have sealed off an area of woodland in Dorset as part of their investigation into the disappearance of a Bournemouth man.

Geoffrey Reed, 57, has not been seen since 7 June.

Police said they were investigating in an area of Lytchett Matravers and three people arrested were helping with inquiries.

Det Insp Marcus Hester said the public "shouldn't be concerned by the current police activity".

An earlier police appeal for information about Mr Reed said his disappearance was "completely out of character".

"We are very concerned for his wellbeing as there has been no sign of him since last Thursday and we are aware he is not in good health," added Det Insp Hester.
