Woman treated after Dorchester flat fire

A woman was treated after fleeing a fire in a flat in Dorset.

Crews were called at 09:19 BST to the three-storey block in Wollaston Road, Dorchester, after smoke was seen coming from a first floor window.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus managed to extinguish the flames while the 19-year-old woman was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew.

The cause of the fire is being investigated. The room was severely damaged by smoke in the blaze.
