Woman trapped by runaway tractor at Dorset County Show

A woman on a mobility scooter was hit by an unmanned runaway tractor at a country show.

The unattended vehicle was part of a static display at the Dorset County Show on the Dorchester show ground when it started rolling down a hill.

It crashed into Ann Topp, 72, from Weymouth, who became trapped under her scooter and the tractor on Saturday.

She was freed from the tractor and taken to hospital with bruising to her left leg and upper left arm.

The owner of the tractor, from Abbotsbury, was not present at the time of the incident, police said.
