Pregnant woman rescued from Dorset kitchen fire

Two women, one of whom was pregnant, were rescued by firefighters when a fire broke out in the kitchen of a property in Dorset.

It is believed an electrical fault in a television sparked the blaze at the home in Brook Road, East Howe, Bournemouth, at about 0730 BST.

Crews in breathing gear extinguished the flames and helped the women, who were treated for smoke inhalation.

Part of the kitchen was destroyed while the rest of the home was smoke damaged.
