Boy suffers mouth injuries in Dorset fish hook accident
An eight-year-old boy fishing with his family had a "lucky escape" when a hook went through the top of his mouth.
Coastguard rescue teams were called to the Cob, at Lyme Regis Harbour, Dorset, just after 2000 BST on Thursday.
Paramedics used a pair of pliers to remove the hook. The boy, on holiday with his family from Swindon, Wiltshire, was treated at the scene.
A coastguard spokesman said those not used to fishing could have problems controlling the rod due to the wind.
