Belgium extradition plea in Honiton antique shop robbery

Police investigating a robbery in Devon are trying to have a man extradited back to the UK from Belgium to be questioned in connection with the raid.

Banwell Antiques in High Street, Honiton, was robbed on 22 March.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they were trying to arrange the extradition of a 45-year-old man from London, arrested in Belgium on 5 June, on suspicion of another robbery.

A 52-year-old man from London has been arrested in connection with the raid.

A female staff member was attacked as she opened the shop during the robbery which saw jewellery worth thousands of pounds stolen.

The store worker was shaken but unhurt.
