Ilfracombe death: Two held over seaside resort attack

A man has died after suffering severe head injuries in an attack at a Devon seaside resort.

The victim, who is in his 30s but has not been named, was found in the Two Potts area of Ilfracombe at about 23:00 BST on Sunday.

He was taken to North Devon District Hospital but died later.

Police said two men aged 47 and 38 had since been released on police bail until 1 September.

Officers said inquiries into the death were continuing and the victim was expected to be formally identified later in the week.
