Missing Exmouth teenager Harriet Melbourne found safe

A 14-year-old girl who was missing for more than 30 hours in Devon has been found safe and well, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed Harriet Melbourne was being taken back to her home in Exmouth.

Concerns for her grew when she did not arrive at Maynard School, in Exeter, on Monday, having packed a change of clothing before she left home.

The force had received a number of reported sightings of her and said she was found in Penzance in Cornwall.
