Exmansworthy cliff fall man airlifted to hospital

A man has been seriously injured in a fall from cliffs in north Devon.

The accident happened at Exmansworthy, near Hartland, just before 09:00 GMT, Swansea Coastguard said.

The rescue involved an RAF helicopter from RMB Chivenor and coastguard teams from Hartland and Westward Ho! and South Western Ambulance Service.

The injured man, who is in his 30s, was airlifted to North Devon District Hospital with back and head injuries. His condition is not known.
