More than 1,000 Plymouth pupils have been told to stay at home for the second day following a power fault.

Sir John Hunt Community College, Whitleigh Primary and Woodlands Special School are all closed after the electric plant failed at the campus on Monday.

The schools said the continuing closure was due to a lack of power, heating and water.

The problem was caused by water from a burst pipe flooding the electric plant.
