Langdon Hospital sex attacks claim

Langdon Hospital Managers said "safeguarding procedures" had been put in place at the hospital

Police are investigating claims of sexual and physical assaults made by a patient on another at a Devon psychiatric home.

Devon and Cornwall force said the offences were alleged to have happened at the Langdon Hospital near Dawlish.

There were three potential suspects and the investigation was continuing, but there had been no arrests.

Devon Partnership NHS Trust, which runs the hospital, said "safeguarding procedures" had been put in place.

A spokesman said: "We are unable to say anything further until the completion of the police investigation."

The assaults are alleged to have taken place between April and July.
