The driver of a motor home which hit a group of people in an east Devon village has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

The German-registered Fiat Ducato crashed through a wall in Beer on Tuesday morning.

Six pedestrians, including four teenagers and the German driver were injured.

Police said the 67-year-old German man who was arrested was bailed until 19 July.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the motor home left the Beer Head Caravan Park and crashed in Fore St, Beer.

A 16-year-old girl from the Bristol area is still being treated for serious leg injuries at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

Four pedestrians, the driver and a passenger in the vehicle were taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with minor injuries.
