Man falls 200ft down cliff at Petit Tor in Torbay

A man has been injured after falling about 200ft (61m) down cliffs in Torbay.

The male walker, aged in his 40s, fell at Petit Tor at about 16:30 BST on Tuesday, coastguards said.

He was airlifted to Plymouth's Derriford Hospital by a coastguard rescue helicopter from Portland, Dorset. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Lifeboats from Torquay and Teigmouth were also called to the scene.
