Holsworthy arson suspect released on police bail

A man arrested by police investigating two fires in a Devon town has been released on bail.

A fire on Wednesday in Quarry Park, Holsworthy, started in a shed but spread to a neighbouring empty house.

A second fire, on Thursday at about 05:45 GMT, started in a caravan in Chapel Street but spread to a property which had to be evacuated.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the 20-year-old local man had been arrested on suspicion of arson.

He has been released on police bail until 3 May pending further inquires.
