Teignbridge District Council: Tax frozen for third year

Council tax will be frozen for a third year by a south Devon authority.

Teignbridge District Council, which includes Newton Abbot, Ashburton and Dawlish, will have a total budget of £59.5m for 2013-14.

However, the authority plans to boost its parking income by 5% by increasing some prices in town and village car parks.

Free Sunday parking would continue at many of the council-run car parks.
