Cpl Michael Pike's name added to Okehampton war memorial

The name of a soldier killed in Afghanistan has been added to a war memorial in the town he grew up in in Devon.

Cpl Michael Pike, 26, was serving as a section commander with the 4th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

His name has been added to the war memorial in Okehampton where he was brought up before moving to Scotland.

Cpl Pike died while on a security patrol in Afghanistan in June 2011.

A special service was also held in the town to remember him.
