Budleigh Salterton bus driver stabbed in leg

A bus driver was left with a knife blade in his leg after being attacked as he stood beside his vehicle.

The Stagecoach driver, aged in his 50s, was stabbed in his right thigh on South Farm Road, Budleigh Salterton, Devon at about 20:25 BST on Thursday.

The knife was taken out at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where the man's condition was described as "not life-threatening", said police.

Stagecoach called it a "shocking unprovoked attack".

The attacker is described as a white man, over 25 years old, with dark, shoulder-length hair, slim to medium build and wearing an olive green Parka-style coat.
